A Satyanarayan pooja is a home worship of Lord Vishnu, performed to give thanks or seek blessings for a new beginning. The pandit leads the katha and puja, and prasad (often sheera/panjiri) is distributed to everyone afterwards.
Key needs: a pandit, puja samagri, a clean altar space, and prasad or catering for guests.
