Sathabhishekam (80th)

Sathabhishekam celebrates a person having seen 1,000 full moons — reached at around 80 years (81 years and a few months). Like Sashti Poorthi, it is a grand, wedding-like ceremony of gratitude and blessing, with a homam, abhishekam, and the honouring of the elders by their family and community. It is a joyous, multi-generational occasion, usually a priest-led ritual followed by a large reception. Core needs are a priest, a venue, decor, catering, and a photographer to capture the family together.
